JT Conception is a 10-member groove orchestra that blends elements of jazz, funk, jazz-rock and world music, showcasing compositions by Estonian bassist and composer Janno Trump. Their third studio album, How Far Can You Go?, delves into the boundaries of human endurance and navigating the challenges of the contemporary tumultuous era, rife with unforeseen twists and turns.
According to the band’s leader, Janno Trump, the recording process for the new album spanned four years. “During this period, the world has witnessed more upheaval than in the last couple of decades. The question ‘where to next?’ has taken on an entirely bewildering dimension – it’s challenging to grasp the trajectory of global events and how to respond,” remarks Trump. How Far Can You Go? poses questions relevant to the musicians, nevertheless, through their music, the band aims to infuse people’s daily lives with optimism and a sense of togetherness.
